Comprehensive Summary
The article examines a study that uses AI virtual human stimulations in conjunction with game-based learning (GBL) in order to improve emotional intelligence and empathy within nursing students. Suicide is prominent among Taiwanese university students so the HTC Virti platform is created as an interactive and innovative method in nursing education. The researchers developed 5 AI psychiatric circumstances such as bipolar disorder, substance use disorder, borderline personality disorder, major depressive disorder, and schizophrenia. The study showcased a 36 week research study split into 2 18 week cycles with third-year nursing students. The participants were given virtual patient interactions and exercises to improve their communication and emotional awareness. Adult Emotional Intelligence Scale (AEIS) collected the data for further analysis as well as student journals and classroom observations. Additionally, nursing programs can better standardize their curriculum to the modern standard and provide students the right preparation for complex healthcare work. Ultimately, there can be a world where healthcare professionals can be emotionally aware and have the capabilities to handle any crises with compassion.
