This study presented by Kadam et al. used bibliometric analysis to introduce the advancements in the field of tele-ophthalmology, in which remote eye care technology holds digital prominence. Moreover, a steady increasing trend of articles in teleophthalmology research was presented, with the top ten authors contributing 8.45% of the total dataset. Consequently, by using Biblioshiny, Kadam et al. hone in on the thematic evolution of teleophthalmology research into a realm of artificial intelligence and medication adherence as recent areas of interest.
